Senior Program Associate, From Pledge to Action

Kirsten Mullin is a Program Associate with the From Pledge to Action Project where she works to aid the Senior Manager in supporting Member organizations in their efforts to develop and implement robust mechanisms for preventing sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) in humanitarian and development settings.  

Kirsten first became interested in PSEA in international humanitarian and development settings through her senior thesis for Haverford College, titled "What Explains the Variation in Sexual Exploitation and Abuse in UN Peacekeeping Missions?: A Case Study on Mali and the Central African Republic."

Prior to joining InterAction, Kirsten was a fellow with the Middle East and North Africa Regional Fellowship Program (MENAR). Through MENAR, she spent a year in Tunis, Tunisia where she worked as an English teacher at École Canadienne de Tunis. Before moving to Tunisia, Kirsten also had work experience at the Centre for the Study of Ethnic Conflict in Belfast, Northern Ireland and the Cherry Buttons Women's Cooperative in Sefrou, Morocco.

Kirsten is from Syosset, New York, and holds a B.A. in Political Science from Haverford College. In her free time, Kirsten enjoys watching travel shows and watercolor painting.
