Today, we honor the resilience of Ukraine’s democracy under the active threat of its autocratic neighbors and celebrate Ukraine among our community of democracy and human rights defenders working to support human dignity and freedom worldwide.
The people of Ukraine will not be deterred by the Russian troops massed on their doorstep. From the Orange Revolution to the Revolution of Dignity, the Ukrainian people have shown time and time again that they will stand against tyranny to protect their democratic ideals.
As the threat of further Russian aggression against Ukraine looms, we stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
